Academic Coaching & Mentorship

Your child doesn't need another tutor. They need someone in their corner.

I find what's actually holding your student back and help them build the confidence, habits, and mindset to change it themselves.

How I work with families

01
Academic Mentorship
The foundation of everything I do.

Weekly one-on-one sessions built around your student's actual coursework, teachers, and pace. Math and science from Pre-Algebra through Calculus, Biology, and Chemistry. Beyond the grades, I help students develop the study habits, time management, and self-awareness that carry into college and beyond.

02
Parent Consultation
Clarity in 60 minutes.

A focused conversation between you and me. I assess where your child actually stands, identify what's driving the struggle, and give you a concrete action plan. Course selection guidance, strength and interest discovery, and a clear picture of what kind of support will actually make a difference.

03
Summer Program
Don't let summer erase 9 months of progress.

Ongoing sessions through the summer to keep your student sharp and ahead of the curve. We review key concepts, preview upcoming material, and maintain momentum so September feels like a continuation, not a restart.

For Parents

You shouldn't have to navigate this alone. The right mentor changes everything.

After 15 years working with students at top private schools, I've seen how isolating it can be for parents when their child is struggling and nothing seems to work. The issue is rarely what it looks like on the surface. It's some combination of habits, confidence, course fit, and dynamics that nobody has taken the time to untangle.

The parent consultation gives you someone in your corner. One focused session where I assess what's actually going on, what your child is good at, and what needs to change. You walk away with a plan, not a pitch.

About Me

I've spent the last 15 years working one-on-one with students at some of the most demanding private schools in the country. The families I work with don't need a homework helper. They need someone who understands the pressure these schools create and who can get to the root of what's actually holding their student back.

Most families come to me for math or science, but what keeps them is the deeper work. I help students recognize the patterns that aren't serving them so the motivation to change comes from within. When that shift happens, it shows up everywhere. In their coursework, in the things they care about, in how they see themselves.

That trust is why my practice has been built almost entirely on referrals. There's nothing more rewarding than watching a student go from doubting themselves to realizing they can figure out anything they put their mind to. It's the reason I chose this path over pursuing medicine, and I've never looked back.

When I'm not working with students, you'll find me at the gym or somewhere with my golden retriever, Rufus.
